Collage Challenge - My Porch Prints Style

The second Collage Challenge Diana and I are participating in this year is the one being held by My Porch Prints.  Over at My Porch Prints they have the some of the best kits around and are hosting a collage challenge using their products.  Check them out at myporchprints.com and on Facebook at Fans of My Porch Prints Junk Journal Group.  They are a fantastic group to be associated with.  Good luck collaging and journaling.

Diana and I decided to use these little journal books we found at the Dollar Tree to put our collages in.

Here is my creation for January 1st (I misread the instructions and the items used are not from My Porch Prints -- my bad). I really enjoyed the challenge and fully intend to participate using only My Porch Prints items. The second picture is Diana's creation (again we created these before rereading the instructions).

The theme today was "Layers".

Be sure to come back tomorrow to see Day Two - "Tags".

Collaging in your Journals

 HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hello everyone, we are so happy you have joined us in this new year and we are excited to tell you about a couple of Collage Challenges we are participating in.

We belong to Graphics Fairy Premium Club (if you are a junk journaler, this is a must group). Graphics Fairy releases a new set of images each Monday for you to use in your paper crafting whether it be Junk Journaling, Scrapbooking, etc.  You can find them here at Graphics Fairy.  Once you have arrived at their home page, click on Join Today and start crafting away.  There are thousands of images for you to choose from.

This year Graphics Fairy posted how to create a journal of your own -- instructions are easy to follow (after you have joined the Premium Club, click on the Handcraft Tutorials to find the tutorial for Collage Yearbook Assembly) and you take the images each week you want to use and make them into a collage -- anything you want, however you want to do it.

I designed the one on the left and Diana designed the one on the right:

Both of our designs were created using 4-3/4" x 6-3/4" playing card (found on Amazon).  We will use a Mini Cinch machine to cut out the holes on the left when we bind them together.

Junk Journal 2024 - January Hosted by Meg Journals

Challenge Three - Meg Journals has posted a daily challenge for January 2024.  They have given a prompt and we create a journal page using that prompt. Inspiration is the key word here -- the first prompt for January (January 1st) is "Resolution".

Diana and I are participating in this one, too.

I could have written down one or two of my Resolutions (yep, I have more than one -- it is going to be a busy year for me keeping up with all of them), but I chose to junk journal my resolutions.  I created a little book and inside the book I listed one resolution for each page.  I attached it to my journal using a modified (short) belly band.

Diana used a slightly different interpretation and was able to put both January 1st and January 2nd on one page:

How you create your "Collage Book" is all up to you. Do YOU.
